Made by farmhouse producers in Abondance Valley (Savioe, France)
Dating back to the twelfth century, this raw cow's milk (from Abondance cattle) cheese is rich not only in flavour, but culture and history as well. A bright orange rind and light yellow interior paste give way to a smooth and creamy texture. Like many other alpine cheeses, Abondance has a floral flavor with undertones of hazelnuts and nice acidity. Its flavors linger on the tongue.
